    Recipe Introduction


    Takes about six hours.


    List of Ingredients


    • 2 cups wild rice (uncooked)
    • 1/2 cup slivered almonds
    • 1/2 cup onions - chopped
    • 1/2 cup celery - chopped
    • 8 oz can of mushroom pieces - drained
    • 2 cups chicken breasts - cut up
    • 6 cups of chicken broth
    • 1/4 tsp salt
    • 1/4 tsp pepper
    • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
    • 1 Tbsp chopped parsley


    Instructions


    1. Wash and drain the wild rice.
    2. Combine all ingredients in a slow cooker - Mix well.
    3. Cover - Cook on LOW for 4 to 6 hours or until the rice is finished. DO NOT REMOVE THE LIDE BEFORE ALL THE RICE HAS COOKED - at least 4 hours.
