    Recipe Introduction


    This recipe has added, fancied and doctored in many way. Some good - some not so good! However this is the original, no fuss, no fancy pumpkin pie recipe. This with a big dollop of whipped cream is what it's all about!


    List of Ingredients


    • 3/4 cup sugar
    • 1/2 tsp salt
    • 1 3/4 tsp pumpkin pie spice
    • 2 large eggs
    • 1 can (15oz) 100% pure pumpkin
    • 1 can (12oz) Evaporated Milk
    • 1 UNBAKED 9 inch deep dish pie shell


    Instructions


    1. Mix together the sugar, salt and pumpkin pie spice in a small bowl.
    2. Beat eggs in large bowl.
    3. Stir in pumpkin and sugar spice mix into the egg mix.
    4. Gradually stir in the evaporated milk.
    5. Pour into the pie shell.
    6. In a preheated 425 degree oven bake the pie for 15 minutes.
    7. Reduce the temp to 350 and bake 40 minutes or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean.
    8. Cool on wire rack for two hours.
