    Recipe Introduction


    Left over cobbler is great for breakfast the next day!


    List of Ingredients


    • 2 1/2 cups mixed green and red seedless grapes
    • 2 plums, halved and pitted and thinly sliced
    • 2 tsp fresh lemon juice
    • 6 tbsp sugar
    • 2 tbsp all purpose flour
    • 1 cup all purpose flour
    • 2 tbsp sugar
    • 1 1/4 tsp baking powder
    • 1/4 tsp salt
    • 1/4 cup cold unsalted butter - cut up
    • 1/4 cup milk


    Instructions


    1. In a bowl combine the grapes, plums and lemon juice.
    2. In a small bowl stir together the 6 tbsp sugar and 2 tbsp flour, mix together and then pour over the fruit. Set aside
    3. NOW MAKE THE CRUST
    4. Preheat the oven to 450
    5. In anohter bowl stir in the 1 cup flour, 2 tbsp sugar, baking powder and salt.
    6. Add butter and using a pastery blender or 2 knives but butter into the flour until pea sized pieces form.
    7. Using a fork gradually stir in the milk mixing just until dough sticks together
    8. Gather the dough into a ball
    9. On a floured work surface pat dought into an 8 in square
    10. Gently turn fruit and juice into an 8 inch square baking dish
    11. Lay dough over the top
    12. Place dish on a rimmed baking sheet and trnsfer to the oven.
    13. Bake for 20 minutes at 450
    14. Rduce the heat to 300 and continue to bake until the juices are bubbling in the pan and the fruit is soft and the crust is well browned (about 15 minutes)
    15. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.


    Final Comments


    Serve with vanilla ice cream while warm but not HOT!
