    Spanish Style Liver

    Aunt Saunny

    2 pounds sliced beef or calves liver
    4 slices bacon, cut in half
    1/2 cup chopped carrot
    1/2 cup chopped celery
    1 small onion, sliced
    1 (1 pound) can stewed tomatoes
    1 teaspoon salt
    1/8 teaspoon pepper
    1 small bay leaf

    Place liver in crockpot. Arrange bacon on top. Mix remaining ingredients and pour over liver. Cover and cook on low 6 to 8 hours.

    Remove bay leaf.
