    One versatile recipe yields several refreshing island drinks melon,berry, honeydew ,kiwi.

    1 tablespoon honey
    2 teaspoons lime juice
    1 cup ice cubes

    For the Melon Berry Frappes
    2 cups seeded watermelon cubes
    1 cup halved strawberries
    1/2 cup raspberries

    For the Honeydew Kiwi Frappes
    2 cups diced honeydew melon
    1 cup diced kiwi
    1/2 cup diced peeled Granny Smith apple

    1. For the melon berry frappes, in a blender combine the honey and lime juice. Add the watermelon, strawberries and raspberries.Blend until smooth. Add ice cubes and Blend
    until slushy. Pour into tall glasses and serve.
    2. For the honeydew kiwi frappes, proceed as directed for the melon berry frappes, adding the honeydew, kiwi and apple. Pour into glasses and serve.

    Serves 2 each
    Tropical Garnishes
    Use your imagination to create island-style garnishes. Make stirrers using bamboo skewers threaded with melon balls, strawberries or pineapple chunks. Or, try floating of star fruit in each drink. To keep drinks cool, place the glasses in the freezer for a few minutes before pouring in the frappes.

    Variations
    For a fruit frappe of orange and mango,use 2 cups diced mango or peaches, 1 cup diced nectarine and1/2 cup orange segments.
    Proceed as directed in Step 1.

    Whatever combination of fruit you choose, add extra flavor with a little fresh mint, sprinkling of cinnamon or ginger, or a splash of vanilla, coconut or almond extract.
