Makes three 9-inch muffles
1-3/4 cups sifted flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 egg yolks, beaten
1-3/4 cups milk
1/2 cup CRISCO, melted
2 egg whites, stiffly beaten
In mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
Combine egg yolks, milk, and melted Crisco; add to dry ingredients, beatingjust till blended. Carefully fold in stiffly beaten egg whites, leaving a few puffs of egg white--do not overmix. Bake in preheated waffle baker
