Rhubarb Custard Cake

3 cups cut up rhubarb
1 cup sugar
1 cup whipping cream, UNWHIPPED
1 white cake mix
Mix cake according to package directions. Pour into a greased 9x13 inch cake pan.Top with cut up rhubarb. Sprinkle with 1 cup sugar. Pour 1 cup unwhipped whipping cream over all.Bake at 350 degrees for time showed on cake mix box.The cream, sugar and rhubarb will go to the bottom and create a custard. You may serve with or without Cool Whip.
