    Aunt Saunny

    1 fryer
    1 tbsp. salt
    1 cup buttermilk
    1 cup flour
    vegetable shortening for frying

    Cut up and remove skin from chicken. Soak overnight in salted water.
    Rinse next morning, soak in clear water overnight, if desired. Drain
    well. Pour buttermilk over chicken, dredge in flour and fry in deep
    fryer until done, about 12 minutes. Drain on paper towel.

    Note: Chicken wings average about five per pound. Carry melted butter-
    hot sauce in small thermos. Drizzle over chicken at serving time.
