    Chili (cook in black dutch oven)
    2 1/2 lb. ground chuck
    1 large onion, chopped
    3 heaping tbsp. Gebharts chili powder
    1 can tomato soup
    2 cans mashed tomatoes
    1 (16 oz.) can Gebhart chili beans
    1 tbsp. bacon grease or 1 tbsp. olive oil

    Saute onions in grease until golden. Brown chuck, mashing to keep
    meat lumpless. Add chili powder, soup, mashed tomatoes, stir well and
    add chili beans. Bubble along, covered for about 1 1/2 hours or
    longer. Be sure to have saltines and butter ready. Slaw is good too.
    Maybe over rice.
