Kentucky Chili

1 pound hamburger
1 onion, chopped
Salt and pepper
1 (1 1/4-ounce) envelope chili seasoning mix
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 hot chili pepper, diced (optional)
1 (8-ounce) can tomato sauce
3 (15 1/2-ounce) cans kidney beans, drained
1 (46-ounce) can tomato juice
1 (8-ounce) package thin spaghetti, broken
In large pan, brown hamburger and onion. Drain. Season with salt and
pepper to taste. Add chili seasoning mix, chili powder and hot chili
pepper. Stir well. Add tomato sauce, beans and tomato juice. Stir
well. Simmer for 1 hour.
Meanwhile, cook spaghetti to al dente according to package directions.
Stir into hamburger mixture. Stir well.
