    Buttery Butterscotch Cut-Outs

    1 cup (6 oz.) NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Butterscotch Flavored Morsels
    3 cups all-purpose flour
    1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
    1/2 cup granulated sugar
    1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
    1 large egg
    2 Tbs milk
    2 tsp vanilla extract
    Decorator sugars (optional)
    Frosting (optional)

    1. Melt morsels in 1-quart saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly, until smooth (3 to 5 minutes). Pour mixture into large mixer bowl; add flour, butter, sugar, brown sugar, egg, milk and vanilla extract. Beat at low speed, scraping bowl often, for 1 to 2 minutes or until well mixed.
    2. Divide dough in half; wrap in plastic food wrap. Refrigerate at least 1 hour or until firm.
    3. Preheat oven to 375° F.
    4. Roll out dough on lightly floured surface, one-half at a time (keeping remaining dough refrigerated), to 1/8-inch thickness. Cut with 2 1/2-inch cookie cutters. Place 1 inch apart onto ungreased baking sheets. Sprinkle with decorator sugars.
    5. Bake for 5 to 8 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Cool on baking sheets 2 minutes, remove to wire racks to cool completely. Decorate with frosting.
