    Aunt Saunny

    1 (2 layer) yellow cake mix
    1/2 c. soft butter or margarine
    1 (6 oz) pkg. semi-sweet choc. chips
    1/2 c. chopped walnuts or pecans
    1/2 c. chopped marashino cherries; drained well

    Heat oven to 375.
    Combine cake mix, butter and egg in a large bowl. Stir in chocolate chips, nuts and cherries. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 10 to 12 minutes. Cool l minute before removing from baking sheet.
    Makes 3 1/2 to 4 dozen cookies
