How to prevent Freezer Burn when using F

Before placing food (steaks, vegetables, etc.) in a
freezer bag, wrap them first in inexpensive plastic
wrap. Place the wrapped food into the freezer bag, and
close. The end result is food that is well-protected
from freezer burn because much of the air has been
removed, and the plastic wrap forms an effective
barrier against the small amount of remaining air. An
added benefit: by wrapping the food in plastic wrap as
I have described, the freezer bags can be re-used many
times (the food does not make contact with the
interior of the bag!).
