    White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookie Mix

    2 cups flour
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1-1/4 cups sugar
    1/2 cup white chocolate chips
    1/2 cup chopped macadamia nuts
    Layer the above ingredients in a one quart jar, in the order given,
    pressing each layer down firmly.

    Place a circle of fabric over the lid. Secure with a piece of thin ribbon or raffia.

    Attach a gift tag with the following directions -
    White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies -
    Preheat oven to 375°. In a large mixing bowl, mix together - 1/2 cup butter(softened), 1 egg, and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Empty cookie mix into a separate bowl and stir ingredients together. Add to the butter/egg mixture and mix until well blended. Drop batter by heaping teaspoons full, 2" apart, onto lightly greased cookie sheets. Bake at 375° for 12 to 14 minutes or until the cookies are light golden brown. Allow cookies to cool on the cookie sheets for about3 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
