    Cornmeal Gravy

    Aunt Saunny

    1 cup cornmeal
    4 tablespoons bacon fat
    milk
    salt and pepper

    In a skillet mix the cornmeal in to the bacon fat and cook a few minutes stirring constantly. Gradually add enough milk until the gravy reaches the desired consistency. Season with salt and pepper. Makes about 3 cups depending on consistency desired.
