    Aunt Saunny

    4 cups pecan halves
    2 egg whites, stiffly beaten
    1 stick butter
    1 cup white sugar
    1 teaspoon cinnamon
    1 teaspoon nutmeg
    dash of salt

    Melt butter on cookie sheet (with sides) Blend sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt into beaten egg whites. Stir in pecans. Spread pecan mixture over melted butter. Bake 30 min. in a 300F preheated oven, stirring every 10 min. until pecans absorb all the butter. Cool and break apart.
