    Aunt Saunny

    Ingredients:
    1/4 pound Hog Jowl in chunks
    1/2 lb. ham hocks cut into chunks
    1 cup onion, chopped
    1/2 cup green bell pepper, chopped
    1 jalapeno pepper, chopped
    1-pound dried black-eyed peas soaked 2 hours in water and drained
    salt and pepper to taste

    In a crock pot add all ingredients fill with water about an inch above top of mixture. cook on high 4-6 hours or until peas are tender Be sure to check every hour or so and if needed add more water and stir.. Serve over rice or eat with cornbread.
