    Asparagus Chicken

    List of Ingredients


    • 6 boneless chicken breasts
    • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
    • 4 tsp. butter or margarine
    • 1/4 cup flour
    • 1/2 tsp. salt
    • 1-1/2 cups chicken broth
    • 1/2 cup canned milk
    • 1/2 tsp. tabasco sauce
    • 1 pound asparagus, diced
    • 1/2 to 3/4 cup fresh grated parmesan


    Instructions


    1. Brown the chicken in oil & butter, remove from skillet.
    2. Add flour and salt to drippings, blending until smooth; cook for 2-3 minutes over medium heat.
    3. Stir in chicken broth and cook until thick. Remove from heat; add milk and tabasco.
    4. Place diced asparagus in the bottom of a 9x13" casserole.
    5. Arrange the chicken pieces on top of the asparagus.
    6. Pour sauce over the chicken and asparagus; sprinkle with cheese.
    7. Bake at 350F for 45 minutes.
