    Fresh Tomato Pie

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 deep dish pie crust
    • 2 extra-large red ripe tomatoes
    • salt & pepper to taste
    • fresh basil
    • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, grated
    • 1/2 cup mayonnaise


    Instructions


    1. Bake the crust for 5 minutes at 450°.
    2. Slice the tomatoes into the pie shell; sprinkle with salt, pepper and a handful of chopped fresh basil.
    3. Mix grated cheese and mayonnaise together and spread over top of pie.
    4. Bake for 30-35 minutes at 400°.
