    Just delicious, like baked clams without serving on a clam shell.

    List of Ingredients




    2 (6 1/2 oz) cans minced clams (don't drain)
    5 garlic cloves, minced
    6 tablespoons butter
    1 medium onion, minced
    1 tbsp. dried parsley flakes
    1 tsp. dried oregano
    1/2 cup breadcrumbs, Italian style
    1/2 cup parmesan cheese

    Recipe



    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

    In skillet, saute the butter, onion, garlic over low heat for a minute or two. Add the clams with their juice, parsley and oregano. Saute for a few minutes and then add the bread crumbs and parmesan cheese.

    The texture should be like paste. If not, add more breadcrumbs.

    Put mixture in oven proof dish and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until golden and bubbly.

    Serve warm with crackers.

    This can be made ahead -- just don't bake it until ready to serve.
