    Johnny's Grandpa's soup

    We tried to reinvent John's grandfather's wonderful chicken soup, and this one is pretty close to the original!

    List of Ingredients




    2 large (48 oz.) cans chicken broth

    1 lb. ground veal
    1 cup bread crumbs
    3/4 c grated cheese
    2 eggs
    1/2 cup water

    1 cup finely chopped onions
    1 1/2 cups sliced carrots
    1 tsp. oregano

    small Pasta (your choice)

    Recipe



    Pour broth into large pot.
    Add onions and carrots, bring to full boil then cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
    Combine rest of ingredients and shape into 1/2 inch balls.
    Add to broth bring to boil, cover and simmer 10-15 minutes.

    Add small pasta (tubetini, orzo, etc).
    Cook for 10 minutes.
    Serve with grated cheese, freshly ground pepper, and sprig of fresh oregano, basil or parsley.
