    French Dip Sandwiches

    List of Ingredients




    3 pounds beef chuck roast trimmed
    (I use a rump roast)
    1 (10 1/2 oz ) can beef broth and
    water to equal 2 cups
    1/2 cup soy sauce
    1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary
    1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
    1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
    1 bay leaf
    4 whole peppercorns
    8 french rolls,split (I use white sub rolls)


    Recipe




    Place the beef chuck roast in a slow cooker.Add water, soy sauce and seasonings. Cover and cook on high for 5-6 hours (or 10 -12 hours on low) or until beef is tender. Remove meat from broth; shred with fork and keep warm. Strain broth; skim off fat. Serve shredded beef on split french rolls. Pour broth into small cups for dipping.
