    Simmer Johnsonville or other brand name bratwurst in 1/2 beer, 1/2 water, chopped onion, 1 toe crushed fresh garlic and black pepper to taste. Make sure to simmer NOT BOIL! If you boil, you'll break the skin and lose all of the juices.
    Simmer for about 30 to 45 minutes to make sure they're fully cooked.
    Fire up the grill and brown them.
    Dip each brat in melted butter and serve on Sheboygan hard roll or similar hard roll.
    Top with horsradish mustard, raw onions, BBQ sauce (Famous Dave's Devil's Spit is incredible on them) or regular hot dog fixin's.

    If you don't have horseradish mustard you can use hot horseradish, yellow mustard and black pepper to taste.
