    No Knead Herb Bread

    1 c. water
    1 c. milk
    1/4c. cooking oil
    1.5 c. Pillsburys best whole wheat flour
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 T. instant minced onion
    1 t. garlic salt
    1 t. Italian seasoning*
    2 pkg. active dry yeast
    1 egg
    2.5 to(3c.) Pillsburys best all
    Purpose or unbleached flour

    In small saucepan, heat first three ingredients until very warm (120 degrees to
    130 degrees. Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup; level off);
    in large bowl, combine warm liquid, whole wheat flour, sugar, seasonings, yeast and
    egg; beat 3 minutes at medium speed.
    By hand, stir in all-purpose flour to form a stiff batter.
    Cover; let rise in warm place until light and doubled in size, 45 to 60 minutes.
    Grease 2 qt. deep, round casserole or 9x5 inch loaf pan.
    Stir down dough and spoon into greased casserole or pan.
    Heat oven to 375 degrees.
    Bake 45 to 50 minutes until golden brown and loaf sounds hollow when lightly tapped.
    Immediately remove from pan.
    If desired, brush with butter and sprinkle with coarse salt.
    1 loaf.

    NOTE: *Italian Seasoning, a specially bottled blend of herbs and spices,
    is the unique flavor in this no knead one-rise bread.
