Rosemary Shortbread Cookies

Rosemary Shortbread
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 c. butter softened
1/3 cup sugar
1 T. finely chopped fresh rosemary
1/2 t. vanilla
1/4 t. salt
Heat oven to 350 degrees.
Combine all ingredients in large bowl.
Stir together with fork or pastry blender until soft dough forms.
Press dough evenly onto bottom of 13x9inch baking pan.
Score dough with knife into 39 (3x1 inch) rectangles;
prick all over with fork.
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until light golden brown.
Cool completely.
Cut into rectangles on scored lines.
NOTE: prep time 30 minutes; baking time 20 minutes. makes 39 cookies.
