Shaker Caraway Cookies
SHAKER CARAWAY COOKIES
1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs, beaten
2 cups flour
1/4 t. salt
1/4 t. baking soda
1 T. caraway seeds
Cream butter and sugar. Blend in eggs.
In a separate bowl, sift together dry ingredients.
Gradually blend dry mixture into egg mixture.
(If dough is sticky, add a bit more flour). Chill the dough.
Roll out dough very thin on floured surface and cut out rounds.
Bake at 375 degrees on greased cookie sheets for approx. 8-10 minutes.
Yield: 3 dozen.
Note: Eggs provide the only liquid in this recipe.

To double the SHAKER CARAWAY COOKIES
1 cup butter
2 cups sugar
4 eggs, beaten
4 cups flour
1/2 t. salt
1/2 t. baking soda
2 T. caraway seed.
Follow directions above for baking.
Allow 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
