Easy Toffee Bars


How about some candy now? It is a great idea for gift giving and so easy.
Easy Toffee Bars
15 unsalted Soda crackers
1 C. Butter or regular margarine.
1 C. brown sugar packed
6 oz, semi sweet chocolate pieces

An absolutely fabulous candy! Tastes and looks like butter crunch. And it all starts with a little cracker LOL. Your friends will never guess the main ingredient!

Lightly grease a 15x10x1" jelly roll pan. Line bottom of pan
evenly with soda crackers. Combine butter and brown sugar in a 2 qt. sauce pan. Cook over medium heat until it comes to a boil, you must stir this constantly. Continue cooking 3 more minutes and yes keep stirring. Pour mixture over the soda crackers evenly. Bake for 15 minutes at 375. Remove from oven and sprinkle with chocolate pieces. Let stand for 5 minutes then spread the chocolate over the crackers. While still warm cut between the crackers to make 35 squares of candy. Chill in the refrigerator until set. Yummy!!!
