    Recipe Introduction

We love bacon! I find baking it to be very easy. For whatever reason, I much prefer this method over the tediousness of pan frying it.

    List of Ingredients

    Bacon

    Recipe

Here is my tip for cooking bacon. It is from my years in the food service. You take a pan with a lip (jelly roll pan works). I use a food service 1/2 sheet pan. You cover it in tin foil. Then you lay the bacon in the pan. Bake in a 400 degree oven for about 15-20 minutes. You don't have to turn it or anything. In my house when you smell bacon, it's ready. You pull it out and put it on paper towels to drain. Tah dah, no mess.

What I really like to do it bake 5 pounds at a time. I just don't cook them all the way, kind of a soggy browned state. Then I cool them, drain them and put them in baggies, in the freezer. When I need bacon I just pull some out of the bag and microwave for a few seconds in the micrwave between some paper towels.
Way better than cleaning up bacon grease spattered everwhere!! - Kim

Deb's notes: I used a cookie sheet (with edge) and cover it with the heavy duty foil. No fuss, no muss - roll up the foil and toss in the garbage when your bacon is finished.
