Recipe Introduction
Level 1 ~ Pro/Fat ~ This recipe is always a hit. I like to make up a batch to take with us camping. They freeze wonderfully.
List of Ingredients
2 pounds sausage
1 pound ground beef
3 eggs
2 tablespoons dried minced onion
1/2 pound shredded cheddar cheese
black pepper to taste
Recipe
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine all ingredients and mix well. Roll into 1-1/2" balls and place on cookie sheet. Bake 20-25 minutes. Makes about 50 meatballs. They freeze well after cooking for an anytime snack.

Posted on site: I added chopped baby spinach, chopped mushrooms and celery, some garlic too. I stuck a cube of Colby cheese in the middle. It was awesome! I give it a two thumbs up!
* Deb's notes: I lined the cookie sheets with aluminum foil, which is a good idea for this recipe. I ended up using Jimmy Dean b'fast sausage, 2 (12 ounce) regular and 1 (12 ounce) spicy - along with the hamburger. Mine were smaller than the 1 1/2" and made 2 large cookie sheets full. Delicious! We really enjoy these.
