    Recipe Introduction

    Level 1 ~ Pro/Fat

    List of Ingredients

    Sweet and Sour Japanese Chicken

    Ingredients:
6 pieces of chicken (wings would be great too, use enough wings to fill the bottom of a medium skillet)
    2 tablespoons butter
    Salt (to taste)
    Garlic powder (optional)
    1/2 cup vinegar
    3 tablespoons soy sauce
    6 packets of splenda

    Recipe

Season the chicken with salt and garlic powder to taste. Melt butter in a medium skillet, add chicken pieces and cook until they are a deep golden brown. In a measuring cup mix vinegar, soy sauce and splenda. Pour the sauce over the chicken (turning the chicken frequently) and let the sauce reduce and thicken until it coats the chicken with a gooey sweet and sour sauce. Voila! I hope you enjoy this recipe!

Grandma Audrey’s additions: To that recipe I add red, yellow and green peppers and onion and sometimes snow peas. I use boneless, skinless chicken breasts

    * Deb's notes: I cut back on the vinegar. When I make this I use 6 breasts, 1 each orange and red pepper, 1 large onion, snow peas and mushrooms. I double the sauce with the addition of the veggies. I also cut back on the vinegar.
