Recipe Introduction
Level 1 ~ Pro/Fat & Veggie ~ This reminds me of the famous Green Bean Casserole. It's a favorite that I usually serve on Thanksgiving (and other times too!)
List of Ingredients
2 cans french-cut green beans.
1 (4 ounce) can mushrooms - drained
1/2 medium onion - sliced thin and separated into rings
2 stalks celery - diced
2 tablespoons butter
1/4 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 cup assorted shredded cheeses
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Recipe
Melt the butter in skillet and saute the onions, celery and mushrooms until soft. Blend mayonnaise and cream.
Mix everything together in a casserole and bake at 350 degrees covered for 30 minutes. Uncover last five minutes until slightly browned.

* Deb’s notes ~ I haven't used the canned mushrooms yet, I always use fresh. I've only doubled this and I use an 8 ounce pkg of fresh sliced mushrooms. I just dice the onions. At first, I thought this wouldn't be enough sauce - but there really is plenty. The guys love this!
If you wanted to, you could carmelize onion slices (stove top) and add those on top to simulate the French's or Durkee's batter fried onions.
Jams’ idea ~ water chestnuts for extra crunch
