Recipe Introduction
Almost Level 1 ~ Pro/Fat ~ We eat this as a Pro/Fat. "Almost level 1" is a food item we can have once our weight loss is well underway.
It's important that you use "black soy beans" for this recipe as they're very low in impact carbs since they're almost all fiber. If you were to use regular black beans (or such, not soy) then this would be a carbo recipe and with the bacon - level 2)
List of Ingredients
2 cans of black soy beans
1/4 cup low carb ketchup
1/4 cup prepared yellow mustard
1/2 large onion chopped
1 teaspoon garlic powder
2 strips of chopped uncooked bacon
1 tablespoon Joseph's sugar free maple syrup
1/2 tsp liquid smoke
Recipe
Mix and nuke in microwave while stirring every few minutes until sauce is thick as you like it. This takes about 10 minutes in my microwave.

*Deb's notes: I rinse and drain the beans. I use 2 tablespoons of prepared mustard, 2 tablespoons Hormel crumbled bacon (time saver) and I increase the syrup to 3 tablespoons. We really enjoy this recipe!
