    Stir Fried Sugar Snap Peas

    Source of Recipe

Inspired by the recipe on the back of the bag of Flav-r-pac Peas

    Recipe Introduction

Level 1 ~ Veggie // I had always eaten sugar snap peas raw, I had never cooked them. But I saw them frozen and decided to give them a try. Now they're one of our favorite cooked veggies.

    List of Ingredients

16 ounce bag of frozen sugar snap peas
1-2 teaspoons of peanut or vegetable oil
1-2 tablespoons soy sauce (to your taste)
1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds (not a level 1 addition)

    Recipe

In a non-stick skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add sugar snap peas.

Cook 3-4 minutes, stirring frequently until peas are cooked, but still crispy.

Add soy sauce and cook an additional minute. Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds and serve.

Deb's notes: The original recipe called for adding 1 & 1/2 cups of bell pepper strips, red, orange and yellow. But we like it just with the peas. If you want to add the peppers, increase the amount of oil and soy sauce to accomodate them.

Don't overcook the peas. I test them as they're cooking so I know when they're done. You can toss them into the frying pan frozen.
