    Turtle Cake

    1 german chocolate cake mix
    1/2 cup butter or margarine
    3/4 cup evaporated milk
    1 cup chopped pecans
    1 bag caramels
    2 cups chocolate chips




    Unwrap caramels. Mix cake mix as directed on the box. Pour half of the batter in a floured 9x13" pan. Bake for 15 minutes.

    Meanwhile, melt 1/2 cup butter or margarine, the caramels and evaporated milk, stirring until smooth. Pour mixture over baked cake. Sprinkle chocolate chips and pecans over this. Sprinkle a few pecan pieces on top.

    Bake for an additional 20 minutes. Cool and cut into squares.
