    Waffles: Chocolate Waffles w/ Caramel-Banana Topping

    List of Ingredients

    1-1/2 cups baking mix, Bisquick original
    1 cup sugar
    3/4 cup water
    1/3 cup cocoa
    2 eggs
    2 Tablespoon vegetable oil

    Recipe

    Heat waffle iron; grease if necessary.

    Beat baking mix, sugar, water, cocoa, eggs, and oil with wire whisk or hand beater until smooth.

    Pour batter onto center of hot waffle iron. Bake until steaming stops and waffle is golden brown. Carefully remove waffle. Serve with Caramel-Banana Topping.* (see recipe below)

    Top with whipped cream and, if desired, chopped nuts.

    Serves: 12

    Caramel-Banana Topping:

    1/2 cup packed brown sugar
    1/4 cup whipping (heavy) cream
    1/4 cup light corn syrup
    2 Tablespoons margarine or butter
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    3 medium bananas, diagonally sliced

    Mix sugar, whipping cream, corn syrup, margarine, and vanilla in 1-quart saucepan. Heat to boiling, stirring occasionally; remove from heat. Add bananas, stir gently until well coated.
