    Classic Woolworth's Cheesecake

    List of Ingredients




    Filling:
    1 (12 oz.) can evaporated milk
    1 cup hot water
    1-3 oz. package lemon gelatin
    1 cup sugar
    1-8 oz. package cream cheese, softened
    1 tsp. vanilla

    Crust:
    30 squares graham crackers, crushed
    2 Tbsps. sugar
    1/4 cup melted butter

    Recipe



    For filling, pour evaporated milk in a large bowl. Freeze 10 to 15 minutes or until ice crystals form. Whip until stiff. Add hot water to gelatin. Cool. Mix sugar, cream cheese and vanilla. Mix in gelatin mixture. Add a little at a time to evaporated milk, mixing for a minute.

    For crust, combine graham cracker crumbs, sugar and butter. Reserve a little crumb mixture for garnish. Pat remaining crumb mixture into a 13 by 9 by 2 inch dish. Pour filling into crust. Sprinkle reserved crumb mixture over top. Chill overnight. Serves 12-16.
