    Recipe Introduction

If you love dark chocolate and easy recipes, you'll love this quick and tasty recipe for making drizzled apple slices using your microwave.
    1.

Spread your apple slices out on waxed paper to prevent any sticking. I purchase pre-sliced apples at Fresh & Easy (a grocery chain on the West Coast, because they're relatively inexpensive, AND they are packaged with a stabilizer to prevent browning - which is key for making apples that you can leave out for an hour or so, or refrigerate for later. You can use fresh apples, but you will need to eat immediately.
    2.
    Step 2

Melt dark chocolate in a glass bowl in the microwave. This recipe actually uses very little chocolate, so 1-2 oz. will be enough for several apples. Once melted, continue stirring till your melted chocolate has a glossy sheen.

I used the Belgium Dark Chocolate giant bar, again from Fresh & Easy.
    3.
    Step 3

Use a FORK to drizzle chocolate in a sweeping motion over the apple slices. (Using a spoon creates glops). Once you've finished, pop the apples into the fridge for 10-20 min. to let the chocolate harden.

This is a great healthy snack or dessert for holidays, dinner parties, and even kid's meals!
