Spritz: Butter Spritz Cookies

Recipe Introduction

You can tint the dough if desired, or sprinkle cookies with colored sugar before baking too.

List of Ingredients

2 1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup (1/2 pound) butter
1 1/4 cup sifted confectioners sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. almond extract
1 tsp. vanilla



Recipe

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.


Sift together the flour and salt and set aside. Cream the butter and confectioners sugar well.

Blend in the egg and flavorings. Gradually add the dry ingredients and mix well.

Press through cookie press on ungreased cookie sheets.

Bake at 400 degrees 10-12 min.
