    List of Ingredients

2 Cups of Butter (4 sticks)
4 egg yolks (keep the whites to brush the kifles before baking)
    4 cups flour
    8 oz sour cream

    Recipe

Cream butter, sugar, egg yolks and sour cream. Mix well.
Divide into 5 balls of dough.
Wrap in plastic wrap and flatten.
Put in fridge for a couple of hours.

Take out of fridge and let it warm up just a bit so you can roll it.
Roll each ball into a large rectangle. (You'll need to flour your surface well)
Cut rectangle into squares about 2" each.
Place a dollop of filling in the center and roll into a crescent shape.
Brush generously with saved egg whites.
Bake on parchment papered cookie sheet at 350 for 20 minutes.
Remove to a wire rack and sprinkle with powdered sugar.

Filling: Lekvar (Hungarian prune butter filling available at most grocers - look in the jam section ) or Apricot (Solo brand also found at most grocers - look in the baking section. If you want to make your own prune filling it is very easy - find a recipe on the internet.
