    An old Nova Scotia recipe still very popular today.


    List of Ingredients




    1 qt Blueberries
    1/2 C Water
    1/2 C Sugar
    1 tsp Cinnamon
    2 C Flour
    1/2 tsp Salt
    2 tsp Baking powder
    1 tsp Sugar
    1 tbsp Butter
    2/3 C Milk

    Recipe



    Boil blueberries, water and 1/2 cup sugar in a saucepan until there is plenty of juice.
    Sift together flour, baking powder, salt, 1 teaspoon sugar and cinnamon. Cut in 1 tablespoon butter. Add milk to make a soft dough, like biscuit dough.
    Drop by spoonfuls into stewed blueberries.
    Cover and simmer for about 5 minutes.
    Serve hot with whipped cream.
