List of Ingredients




1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
4 eggs
2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 (10 oz.) jar maraschino cherries, drained and halved
1/4 c. flour
1/4 c. finely chopped nuts


Recipe



Blend softened cream cheese, butter, sugar, and vanilla.

Add eggs, one at a time, and mix after each addition.

Gradually add 2 cups flour sifted with the baking powder. Combine cherries and nuts and toss with 1/4 cup flour to coat well. Fold into batter.

Grease and flour 2 small loaf pans or 1 (10 inch) tube pan. Pour batter into pans. Sprinkle with finely chopped nuts.


Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour 20 minutes or until sides shrink and tester comes out clean. Cool before removing.

YIELD: 1 Loaf or 2 small loaves

Freezes well.
