Halloween: Great Pumpkin Cheese Ball

"You can make this in one large ball, or several small ones. Then as your guests eat it, you can bring out a fresh cheese ball."




List of Ingredients




2 cups grated Havarti cheese
1 8-oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 3-oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 tsp. thyme
1 tsp. dried chives
1 garlic clove, crushed
1/4 cup mayonnaise
Yellow and red food coloring
Red or green bell peppers for garnish




Recipe



Cream together Havarti, cream cheese, thyme, chives and garlic in a large bowl. Shape into a 5" ball, or shape into 3 2" balls. Mix together mayonnaise and enough food coloring to make a pumpkin orange color. Frost the cheese ball with the mayonnaise mixture. Using a knife, draw lines vertically on the ball to resemble a pumpkin. Make eyes, nose, mouth, and stem with bell pepper pieces. Refrigerate until serving time. Serve with crackers and sliced apples.
