Fresh Lemon Ice Cream

List of Ingredients
2 cups heavy (whipping) cream OR half & half
1 cup granulated sugar ("fine" dissolves faster)
2 tbsp. FRESH lemon peel, finely grated (use
only the yellow peel, not the bitter white)
1/3 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
Recipe
In medium bowl, stir together cream and sugar
until sugar is completely dissolved. Mix in
lemon peel and juice. Pour into 8-in. square pan.
Freeze in refrigerator freezer until firm.
For best flavor: after spooning into individual
dessert dishes, let stand a few minutes before
serving to soften slightly.
YIELD: 3 Cups
