Fruit: Tomato/Basil/ Mozzarella Salad

1 pound mozzarella
3 ripe medium tomatoes, peeled and sliced
1/2 cup fresh basil leaves, washed
salt and freshly ground black pepper
extra-virgin olive oil
red wine vinegar
Recipe
Slice the mozzarella and layer alternately with the tomato slices on four salad plates in red and white "stripes." Lightly tear the basil leaves and scatter over the salads.
Sprinkle with salt and fresh black pepper and drizzle lightly with the olive oil. Pass the red wine vinegar at the table.
