    Vegetable: Tomato-Onion Salad

    List of Ingredients




    One small tomato, or half of a large tomato
    One small red onion
    Fresh basil leaves
    Black pepper
    Balsamic or sherry vinegar
    Mozarella cheese

    Recipe



    Slice one small or half of one large tomato into bite-size slices.
    Slice a wedge off of a red or purple onion and dice it.
    Slice one large or two to three small leaves of fresh basil. (NB: This will only work with fresh basil. Dried will NOT work.)
    Place tomato, onion, and basil on a plate.
    Sprinkle 1/8 tsp black pepper on top.
    Sprinkle some grated mozarella cheese on the salad.
    Drizzle balsamic or sherry vinegar on top.
