    Massachusetts Cranberry Sausage Stuffing

    List of Ingredients




    1 lb. cranberries
    1 c. water
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 lb. sausage meat, cooked and
    crumbled with drippings
    8 c. cornbread, coarsely crumbled
    1 c. diced celery
    1 sm. onion, chopped
    1/2 c. diced green pepper
    1/2 tsp. thyme
    1/2 tsp. marjoram
    1 tbsp. chopped parsley
    1 sm. apple, peeled and chopped

    Recipe



    Place cranberries, water and sugar in a saucepan and cook until cranberries are tender about 10 minutes. Drain off excess juice.

    Combine drained berries, sausage, drippings and remaining ingredients.


    Stuff a 12 pound turkey or place stuffing in a casserole and bake 1 hour at 325 degrees.
