    Crab Rangoon


    List of Ingredients


    • 1/2 pound crabmeat, drained and chopped
    • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, room temperature
    • 1/2 teaspoon A-1 steak sauce
    • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
    • 2 1/2 to 3 dozen won ton wrappers
    • 1 egg yolk, well beaten


    Instructions


    1. Combine crabmeat with cream cheese and seasonings in medium bowl and blend to a paste.
    2. Place heaping teaspoon on each wonton wrapper.
    3. Gather for corners of wonton wrapper together at top. Moisten edges with egg yolk and pinch or twist together to seal.
    4. Heat oil in wok, deep fryer or electric skillet to 375 degres.
    5. Add wonton in batches and fry until golden brown, about 3 minutes. Remove with slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
    6. Serve hot with Chinese mustard and red sauce for dipping.
