    1 Frying chicken, cut up *
    2 Tbs. melted butter or margarine
    Salt and Pepper
    2 Tbs. dry Italian salad dressing mix
    1 (10 ¾-oz.) can condensed mushroom soup, undiluted
    2 (3-oz.) packages cream cheese, cut into cubes
    ½ cup sauterne or sherry
    1 Tbs.chopped onion

    Wash chicken and pat dry. Brush with butter. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Place in slow-cooking pot. Sprinkle dry salad mix over. Cover and cook on low for 5-6 hrs. About 45 min. before serving, mix soup, cream cheese, wine, and onion in small saucepan. Cook until smooth. Pour over chicken in pot. Cover and cook 30 min. on low. Serve with sauce.
    Makes 4-5 servings.
    Serve over rice or noodles.
    *may also use boneless skinless chicken
