    2 Tbs. peanut oil
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1 bunch broccoli
    1/2 cup soup stock (vegetable broth)
    2 tsp. heavy soy sauce
    1 tsp. light soy sauce
    1 tsp. sugar
    1/2 to 1 tsp. ginger, minced
    1 tsp. rice wine or sherry
    1 1/2 tsp. cornstarch

    Recipe




    Preparation:

    1) Wash broccoli thoroughly and drain in colander.

    2) Cut broccoli diagonally into 1-inch pieces.
    3) Mix salt and garlic.
    4) Mix broth, heavy soy sauce, light soy sauce, sugar, ginger and wine/sherry, set aside. Stir well before using.

    Cooking:

    1) Heat skillet or wok; add peanut oil and bring to smoking point. Lower heat for 1 minute.

    2) Add salt and garlic, stir-fry 15 seconds. Raise heat again to high.

    3) Add broccoli, stir-fry 3 minutes.
    4) Add broth. Stir well 1 minutes.
    5) Cover. Cook 2 minutes or until sauce thickens and coats vegetable well. Serve.
