    Sesame-Parmesan Rounds

    List of Ingredients




    2 cups flour
    1/2 teaspoon ground red pepper
    1/8 teaspoon salt
    1 cup butter, softened
    1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
    1 egg white
    1 teaspoon water
    1/4 cup sesame seed, toasted

    Recipe



    Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a medium bowl, combine flour, red pepper, and salt; set aside. In a large bowl, combine butter and cheese; beat till well blended. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture; stir till well blended. On a lightly floured surface, use a floured rolling pin to roll out dough to 1/8 inch thickness. Use a 1 1/2 inch biscuit cutter to cut out dough. Transfer to a greased baking sheet. In a small bowl, beat egg white and water till well blended. Brush dough with egg mixture and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake 12 to 14 minutes or till bottoms are lightly browned. Serve warm or transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Store in an airtight container. To reheat crackers, place in a 325 degrees oven about 2 minutes. Makes about 8 dozen crackers.
